YALA

Yala National Park Safari

Located in the southeastern corner of the island, Yala offers picturesque oceanfront views and shares its northern borders with the Lahugala elephant sanctuary. The terrain is diverse, featuring a combination of flat plains and rocky outcrops, while the vegetation ranges from open parklands to dense jungles.

The park is rich in water sources, including water holes, small lakes, lagoons, and streams, which sustain a wide variety of wildlife. Yala National Park is particularly popular among visitors, mainly due to its claim as the habitat with the highest density of leopards worldwide.
